As of mid-September the 30 fixed has been hovering around 6% with No Points. The rate is available for a primary or second home purchase as well as most rate term refinances with loan amounts up to $417,000.<br /><br />The Federal backing of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is not designed to help those with existing mortgage struggles. It's intent is to give needed support to these institutions allowing for cash flow and thus making more mortgages available and more affordable with lower rates for those ready to buy or refinance a new home. Every third Friday with the exception of August 22, the Community Redevelopment Agency will host movies on a 3-story inflatable screen.<br /><br />Bring chairs, lay out a blanket, share a picnic, sit back and listen to music playing in the background as the sun sets over the park. Then enjoy free movies under the stars.
